When you buy a car, it is as-is. There are no take backs. Are you ready to tow a car to the mechanic and spend an extra $2000 just to get it running? If not, buy from a local reputable dealer. Good luck.

It's not true. I went to an actual government auction in Chattanooga and prices were through the roof.

Ex, 1998 Ford Contour – $2,500
1995 Ford Aerostar – $2,000
1995 Ford Econoline – $2,800

Government auctions will primarily contain Fords, Chevrolet's and Dodge. They mainly sell fleet vehicles. I would never do an online government auction because most are scams.
