		<description>Yes.  However, I am glad that in this election we have had one candidate that is a Mormon, one who has family ties to Islam, one who is an ordained Baptist preacher, and I guess the rest are mainstream Christian. 

But I wish that it really didn&#039;t matter to anyone what religion candidates are.  I read history, and it has become increasingly clear that people often migrated to this country not only for economic gains but also because many were simply tired of being harrassed and harmed due to their religious beliefs.

However, I&#039;m not sure that the Constitution bans people from being asked questions about their religious beliefs during debates.  The debates are held by various groups.  However, since the TV stations are granted frequency waves, or at least use to be, then they might have some federal guidelines that they have to follow.  I suppose cable stations have some too. 

It would be nice if they would voluntarily keep religion out of the debates though.</description>
